Raflatac expands food label range

On 5 September, UMP Rafalatac announced the expansion of its food packaging label stock portfolio.

The Finnish company has introduced food safe top coated (FTC) label stock using a range of materials – including polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) films. It states these are in full compliance with EU Regulation 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles for food contact use; and are also easy to recycle.

Raflatac’s labelling solutions manager Jay Betton says: ‘As innovators in labelling solutions, we aim to meet the needs for film materials within the food labelling sector and to ensure that consumer safety is always at the forefront. By upgrading our top-coated range to comply with food safety legislation, we are demonstrating our commitment to converters, printers, and the food manufacturing chain as a whole.’
