PP60 is a new white top-captivated film introduced by Avery Dennison to enhance the range of food labelling films it offers to its customers.
In the announcement of the launch of PP60 on 23 October, the manufacturer states it is fully compliant with EU Regulation 1935/2004, even if used on chilled food packs.
Rob Groen in 't Wout, Avery senior product manager for filmic labels, says: 'There are plenty of challenges in the food segment, but the most critical one faced by all food producers today is the tough regulatory environment. Our goal is to do everything possible to make food labelling choices simple and productive. 'Avery Dennison's newly expanded food-approved portfolio makes it far easier to choose the right look, the right cost and the right performance characteristics.'
The topcoat film has been optimised to work in cold and moist conditions, often found in packaging facilities for meat or dairy products. It is designed for use with Avery's S2045N hotcoat adhesive for addition to a range of packaging substrates.
