Europe's leading food contact forum

Event highlights

A comprehensive technical committee is providing input to the programme agenda, ensuring that the 2011 Plastics and Paper in Contact with Foodstuffs will deliver the latest updates and insight into the European and other key region's regulatory landscape, including USA and China, whilst allowing extensive time for debate and networking.

Attendees will take away not only the latest news from European regulators, results from industry working groups and progress in analysis of new materials for food packaging, but also a valuable knowledge-sharing experience through the extensive networking and social agenda. See below a breakdown of attendees at the 2010 event:

In 2011 the conference will once again co-locate with our well established Extractables & Leachables event, with participants fulfilling the same role as for Plastics and Paper, but in the Pharmaceuticals industry. This enables attendees to migrate across both conference programmes and adds value through shared networking time with those working in this parallel supply chain.

"Food contact and pharmaceutical packaging regulations have a lot in common and often share the same origins, so it makes perfect sense to co-locate these two popular conferences and maximise the benefits from discussion across the two packaging applications" said Robert Stead, Head of Events at Pira International. "We were delighted with the success of the event in Germany in 2010, and look forward to yet another successful conference in 2011".
