Newly Established China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment to speak at GFC 2012

15 February 2012

The regulatory landscape in China for food contact materials has developed significantly over the past couple of years and in a recent organisational change, China established a national professional center for food safety risk assessment, designed to offer technological support in assessing, monitoring, issuing early warnings and communicating food security risks and food safety standards. Ms Zhu, secretariat of the food related products sub-committee under Committee on China National Food Safety Standard and the food packaging clean-up expert panel, will speak on the Global Food Contact 2012 program to provide delegates with an update on these regulatory and organizational developments in China and what these mean for your business operations.

Coming to Baltimore, MD on 15-17 May 2012, Global Food Contact 2012 will follow on from the resounding success of the European edition in 2011, which sold out weeks before the event, to provide delegates with a truly global forum to discuss current and developing food contact regulations across the world.

Other national regulatory updates that will be presented at the conference include Japan, South America, Canada, South East Asia and Europe, and not forgetting opening and closing keynote addresses from representatives of CFSAN, FDA.
