Global Food Contact conference to be held in USA

Pira International is pleased to announce that for 2012, their very successful food contact event, Global Food Contact, will be coming to the USA. Global Food Contact USA will take place in Baltimore, USA at the Tremont Plaza Hotel & Grand Historic Venue on 15-17 May 2012. This promises to be a conference not to be missed, after the European event SOLD OUT in 2011.

It is more important than ever to keep abreast of international food contact regulations, not only those put in place by the FDA and the European Commission, but also those beginning to take shape in other areas across the globe. With this in mind, Global Food Contact USA will provide the opportunity to speak with the experts and legislators as well as hear real business case studies, to ensure you are prepared for these emerging regulations.

Global Food Contact USA will once again feature a pre-conference workshop, led by industry experts and two full days of interactive presentations, lively discussions and extensive networking opportunities. Topics that the agenda will cover, include: updates on recent activity within the FDA and the European Commission, issues of global compliance, including what suppliers do in different markets and what brand owners want in different markets, the advancement of the MERCOSUR regulations and a panorama of the situation in Latin America and insights from regulators in Canada, Japan and many more.

This conference is truly the only global food contact forum, which will provide delegates with global perspectives on food contact regulations from leading industry experts and national legislators from across the world. This conference will also be co-located with Extractables and Leachables USA 2012, a new conference for 2012, jointly organised with Smithers Rapra.
